ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The daughter of two Air Force veterans, Laura Heffelfinger has had the pleasure of calling the South home for most of her life. She holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and completed graduate coursework in Infectious Diseases and Immunology at Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health. Laura has been in the technology realm for most of her adult career, serving in various roles to connect business needs with efficient technology solutions. She actively participates in her church family, and serves as a board member for various community organizations. Laura loves to cook (not bake!), enjoys playing hostess when she can, is a recovering perfectionist, a non-apologetic Southerner, wine enthusiast, lover of animals and children, and an astounding truth teller who is more likely to swear than bless-your-heart. She is a solo parent of two amazing children, 2 semi-great dogs, and other assorted animals and wildlife. They enjoy spending time outside, being adventurous with meals, and staying active in their hometown of Franklin, Tennessee.
